Yesterday Internet Real Estate Giant Zillow was downgraded on market saturation fears. Analysts are saying that Zillow may no longer be able to grow is traffic base because there is no traffic left. They may have increased their traffic so quickly that it will no longer be possible to keep growing in the way that justifies the stock price.
They certainly have changed the way real estate buying is done and have taken over the market as far as capturing Internet generated leads. The industry has begun to adapt to the more Internet based business model that has taken the exclusivity out of the MLS. The MLS was always a strong selling point for the Realtor brand and a way to get the most people to see a property. However, the rules of the game have changed.
